Programming the DVD recorder couldn't be simpler. Just select the programme you want to record from the TV listings and tap in the VideoPlus number, and off you go. DVDs can store up to 6 hours of footage (so you should always be able to watch your favourite programmes right up to the end) and because the recorder can use rewritable discs you can record again on the same disc.

A really handy feature of the RDR-GXD500 is its chase play feature. This allows you to start watching a programme while it is still being recorded - ideal for those evenings you get back from work early.
